In attendance: Eric B, Mel C, Rick C, Dave D, Rebecca G, Carol Ann H, and Shawn H.
The team discussed the functionality of the geo wall that would include dual projection and allows an individual to see dimension using 3-D glasses. We also discussed the potential to polarize the glass wall so that the walls would stabilize when in the extended position. The tile floor solution could be outsourced to the Interior Architecture students. This then would only require funds for building materials. Security for the room was discussed and will be part of Dave Debusman's estimate for the Facilities portion of the renovation. The Herman Miller representative will be invited to the GIS meeting.
Action items:
- Rebecca will put the URL for the racks into the minutes. The URL is http://www.middleatlantic.com/enclosure/roll/axsr.htm
- Telecom will need to provide an estimate on the phone system for the GIS Commons
- Kevin Shippy with Computing and Network Services will be recruited to review the estimate for the technology.
- Telecom and Computing and Network Services will need to be contacted to discuss networking, switch, router, and cabling issues.
